CAD Jobs
As well as helping TurboCAD users solve practical drawing problems, I’m sometimes asked if I know trusted CAD Professionals that can undertake special jobs, either as one-offs, or as a resource that companies can use on a regular basis when they’ve got more work on than they can manage. These can range from simple Drafting Projects in 2D in either the areas of architecture or engineering to more complicated modelling in 3D.
Others, who have migrated from Solid Works or AutoCAD to TurboCAD may just need some initial help. Often all they need is someone to go and work with them on a project for a day or two. Swapping between DWG and DXF formats sometimes can be problematic, especially as so many CAD professionals seem to waver from the true path.
I have a small trusted team of TurboCAD Professionals that I refer these requests to, but I’m always open to expand the group and very interested to know more experts in specialist fields, especially you are north of Birmingham, in Ireland or Scotland.
I’d also like to meet a professional using TurboCAD Mac in whatever field.
So if you are a TurboCAD professional with an expertise in any area, I’d like to hear from you and see your work.
Ajaya,
Where are you based? It would be good to talk through some ideas.

Hi Paul,
I’ve just come across your website looking for a good solution to replace AutoCAD since I’ve bought a Mac Book Pro. (couple a days ago) Even I know about AutoCAD running on Mac via Parallels or VMWare, I’ve still got doubts to install Windows.
So, I’ve just installed TurboCAD Deluxe for Mac but I’m quite dissapointed so far: no paperspace, no render settings, no sectional views… and I’m concerned that I didn’t dug deep enough, isn’t it?
By the way, I live in very South (Isle of Wight), but working near Winchester in AutoCAD (2D & 3D). Are there any opportunities for some jobs (part time, project based, drawings, etc.) for a quite good (‘The proud of well done job’ – AUTODESK) draughtsman?
Thanks for your time and I’ll still be near by digging through your web site,
Best regards,
Marius

I’m no expert on the Mac version, although I do know we sell a lot of it. There is now a Professional version for the Mac platform, which is what you might need, or you can run the PC version under Bootcamp which is free. The Pro Mac is about £400, but I do have one copy that I cab let go at £300. At http://www.imsidesgn.com, you can now find a TurboCAD Mac forum, where I’d expect you will find answers to problems, I’ve always found the windows section very helpful.

Hello Paul.
Nice site you have built here.
I use Turbocad Pro v14.2 with Animationlab 4.2. The upgrade to v16 is in the foreseeable future.
My interest is the paragraph of yours mentioning occasional need for one-off or ‘contract type’ work. This is interesting, and I would like to offer my abilities such as they are, when and if you discover such a need.
Please may we correspond by e-mail about this?
Sincerely,
Rob Enslin.
Rob,
Defiantly, I’m working at a show in London this weekend and then will be away in Spain the following week and three other countries in the following three weeks, business is getting busy and I’m spending more time running around with less time to give talks and demos etc so we should talk.
E-mail me at ptracey@avanquest.co.uk and we can get a dialogue going.
