I’m a mac user and naturally interested in the Mac version of TurboCAD however interested to know of anyone’s experience with compatibility issues with Mac created TurboCAD drawings and Windows based computers opening/amending the drawings.
Reason I ask is that many of my work clients/partners use Windows PCs and I’m wondering if I should purchase TurboCAD for Windows and operate through Parallels?

The official line here is that drawings can be saved as DWG in the Mac versions and imported into PC based CAD software and I think that this works fine 98% of the time. However I do occasionally come across a DWG drawing giving problems. In all but one of these cases over five years I’ve been able to find a solution.
However you can run the PC version under windows, which I do with Parallels. The only snag that I found was that the groups of tools do not expand when clicked on, but this is easily got around by putting then on my local menu.
I think that if your colleagues are mostly using PCs, I’d run the PC version under Parallels, less chance of problems.
