The Roundhouse London
Originally a steam engine turning shed, now converted, it is a specialist entertainments and arts venue holding up to 3,000 people standing in the main space. The Roundhouse stages everything from Bob Dylan to the RSC and all variations between.
Head of Stage, Ben Ranner’s job is to liaise and plan with performers to overcome the building’s quirkiness to make the most of the venue says, “This makes for a very unusual and specific venue, with production plans and processes often needing to be altered so companies can work effectively in the space”.
Ben opens up communications with performers well ahead of any event. Plans of the stage area, auditorium, entrance, exits, lighting etc are all drawn providing accurate floor plans to work with.
After trying AutoCAD and VectorWorks, the Roundhouse now use TurboCAD to meet all the needs of their stage team.

My company – The Maidstone Players, have been using TurboCAD for a few years now, but I’m sure that there is a lot in the program that we don’t understand, do you think that the 3D training book would be of benifit to us?

Brian,
Sure, I can recomend them, even after using TurboCAD for a few years now, I always pick up something new when flicking through the pages.
However your best chance of moving forward is to book on a training day, November 18th would be perfect for you, give me a call.

Am dutifully hitting your website regularly in the hope that if you get famous (and rich) the kids get rich and I can retire before I die or seriously harm a child.
Not easy to navigate the website because you get a different page layout each time and things you can’t click on.
Anyway, I am hitting it but I do have a question. How come Margaret gets a lovely soft focus portrait and I’m a cartoon monster holding a (long dead) rabbit?
Just a rhetorical question.
Chris
P.S. the animal stuff is just wierd.

Chris,
A valid comment. If you’d like to come around and pose I’ll see if I can paint something more to your liking. I’ll make sure the heating’s on.
