Windows 7 and AutoCAD LT
I’m getting quite a few calls these days concerning older versions of AutoCAD LT not working with Windows 7. The customers who call me are just not prepared to pay the very high price demanded for an upgrade of what is, after all, just a dated 2D CAD package, you can buy perfectly good ones for as little as £30 that save and open as DWG.
There are lots of alternatives to AutoCAD LT around, but for people who want a package that looks like AutoCAD, does far more and is less than half the price there is DoubleCAD. Double CAD is £425 + vat, but I’ve been allowed to sell it for a while at £100 off the regular price.
